Precise Surgical Removal of the Prostate for Cancer Control

This procedure is performed under general anesthesia with the patient positioned to allow clear access to the pelvic region. The surgical area is cleaned and covered with sterile Nivda Drapes to maintain a contamination-free operating field. Surgeons make an abdominal or pelvic incision, or use minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic or robotic instruments to access the prostate. Surgical tools such as electrocautery devices, retractors, and suction systems help control bleeding and improve visibility. The prostate gland and nearby affected tissues are carefully removed while preserving important nerves and structures when possible. After removal, the urinary tract is reconstructed and the surgical site is closed with sterile dressings and protective drapes.
